It was suggested in [1] by Oraevsky and Smetanin a novel concept of an optical oscillation called as ``Resotron''. It is based on the effect of amplification of electromagnetic wave by magnetically guided electron beam moving near the surface of material absorbing at oscillation frequency. The dissipative instability of electron beam is the mechanism resulting in the gain in Resotron. The authors assumed the guiding magnetic field to be strong so that the electrons are completely locked to the magnetic lines.

This report is devoted to the analysis of the effect of finite guiding magnetic field on the gain in Resotron. The possible resonant effect, when the resotron oscillation frequency is close to the electron cyclotron frequency, is investigated. The consideration is conducted in the linear approximation and a planar interaction geometry.
